The Miscellaneous Post

I would like to blame the two-week hiatus from blogging on the academic pressures of finishing my first term of college. Unfortunately, that has very little to do with it. Things that do have to do with it: I began playing the video game FIFA, I started rewatching Friends (again), and I got lazier. I apologize. Forgive me.
Now I can begin. As you will notice, this post will be different than my other posts. I will briefly cover a variety of hard-hitting issues that have been on my mind as of late.
  1. Derrick Rose injured his right knee on a non-contact play last night. Are you kidding me? This again? Can't imagine how crappy he must feel. He'll have an MRI today. Nick Friedell's piece sums it all up.
  2. In need of a cute break from your studies/work/real life? Look at these photos of a toddler napping with a puppy. You're welcome.
  3. Last night, I watched a four part Eminem interview conducted by BBC's Zane Lowe. While watching this hour long program, I realized that it was the first Eminem interview I have ever watched. It was very odd. First off, he has crazy eyes. If you don't know what that is, just google it. Second off, he's pretty damn well-spoken. I feel like I get him now. Listen here.
  4. I thought it would be a good idea to start watching Mad Men in the middle of finals week. Midway through what I believed to be the first episode (I was so confused and could not understand why this was supposedly a good show), I realized it was not in fact the first episode. It was episode 11 of season 5. Kudos to me and my ability to use Netflix.
  5. According to Slate, these homeowners have a problem on their hands because their local church looks like a penis. Ugh, I hate when that happens! Click for the full article.
Disclaimer: The nature of this post perhaps reflects my inability to focus on one thing at the moment, instead shallowly touching on a variety of things. Don't worry, I won't write like this forever.
                                                                          Sincerely,
                                                                             Leah
